Spend Analysis.
understanding your spending
The first step in saving money through strategic sourcing is to fully understand an organization's spending with external vendors.
Treya’s comprehensive spend analytics approach consolidates spend data from disparate sources (including Accounts Payable systems, P-cards, e-Procurement systems, etc.), accurately maps transaction level data to procurement categories, and ultimately builds a comprehensive spend profile.
The spend profile and accompanying analytics identify, quantify, and prioritize opportunities and lead to the development of a sourcing roadmap for data-driven strategic sourcing and supplier rationalization activities.

Reduce maverick spending - improve compliance with existing contracts

Bring more spend under management

What is a spend analysis, and why does it come first?
A spend analysis is a complete picture of what your company buys, from whom, and for how much. Treya pulls the data from wherever it lives (accounts payable, P-cards, e-procurement systems), then cleans it and maps every transaction to a procurement category. It comes first because you can’t prioritize savings you can’t see. Everything we do after this, from sourcing to supplier rationalization, starts from this picture.
Our spend data is messy and spread across systems. Is that a problem?
No. Fragmented data is the normal starting point. Companies that have grown through acquisition often buy the same goods on different contracts, at different prices, from one location to the next. Consolidating those sources and mapping the transactions to categories is part of the engagement. Send us what you have.
What do we receive at the end?
A spend profile and a sourcing roadmap. The profile shows your spend by category, supplier and business unit, and flags where money is leaking: purchases outside contract, suppliers that should be consolidated, categories nobody is managing. The roadmap ranks the opportunities by size and effort so you know what to source first. In one published engagement, the work that followed drove savings across four categories representing $36 million in annual spend; in another, across 18 workstreams representing $20 million.
What do we need to give you?
Your accounts payable data, plus P-card and e-procurement exports if you have them. That’s usually it. We don’t need the data to be clean or in one format; we’ll do that part. If some of it is missing, we’ll work with what exists and tell you what the gaps are.
